Type II Sydney Mints

Type II sovereigns from the Sydney Mint (1857 - 1870) feature Queen Victoria's portrait with an Acacia wreath, and are markedly different to the sovereigns struck at the Royal Mint at that time. These coins circulated the globe - they were seen as far and wide as Canada, London, South America and India. Most were melted for their higher silver content, the key dates are exceptionally rare in high grade.
