AUSTRALIA 1999 ONE DOLLAR UNC PAIR Last Anzac and Year of the Older Peson commemoratives in a twin pack

The first pair of commemorative one dollar coins ever issued in Australia.

1999 was the first year in which Australia released two commemorative one dollar UNC coins in the same year- the first honoured our ANZAC soldiers, the second commemorated the International Year of the Older Person. Although ANZAC is a perennial theme with Australian coin collectors, the International Year of the Older Person was nowhere near as popular! Just 33,922 of these pairs were produced - nearly half of the number of Kingsford Smith dual sets that were released in 1997.
