The first proof silver dollar ever issued, and still the most valuable to this day!

The proof silver one dollar coins are the second most popular products that the RAM makes each year (the mint sets have been best sellers for decades!), largely due to the unique beauty and appeal of the coins when struck in silver.

There's something about seeing these commemorative designs when they've been struck in pure silver - the frosted relief on a mirrored background makes them stand out really well, and they look far better than they do when (if!) you can get them out of your change.

The Barcelona Olympics dollar coin was hugely popular with collectors right from the outset, mainly due to its rarity. Even though the Barcelona one dollar silver proof doesn't have the lowest mintage of the enture series, it is among the lowest, and remains the hardest one to get in a complete set.
