March 31, 2020 Update:

We can't say that it's business as usual here at Sterling & Currency now that Covid-19 has spread across the world, but we're doing our best to keep on keeping on. This is the latest on what we're doing to keep ourselves, our customers and vendors safe:

 

In the Office:

We're currently only in the office for the time it takes to complete those tasks we need to be physically present for - once they're taken care of, we're working from home.

We're making sure we follow the latest government advice about keeping an appropriate distance between ourselves and anyone that visits us;

We have hand sanitizer and wipes for customers and staff to use before and after handling products and payments;

We're regularly cleaning high-contact surfaces to ensure any potential risk is minimized.

 

Online Business and Deliveries:

We normally make sure we send out all online orders received before 11 am on the same day, any orders we get after that time are dispatched the next day.

Covid-19 has not only significantly reduced the number of orders we get each day so it has also impacted how often we can send those orders out.

We use Australia Post's eParcel service - we lodge our mail electronically with them, their staff come and collect it from our office the same day. 

Australia Post understandably has a minimum quantity for all collections, so we're dispatching all orders as often as we can.

At the moment, that looks to be every other day (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).

The Australia Post network continues to operate well given the circumstances, although there are some delays.

Domestic shipments seem to be getting delivered within standard timeframes, but international parcels to those parts of the world that have been badly affected by Covid-19 are definitely being delayed.
