A complete set of Australian decimal coins issued in 1973 in UNC condition.

The amount of coins needed to grease the wheels of the Australian economy once decimal currency was absolutely massive - hundreds of millions of coins were produced in the leadup to February 14th, 1966. This meant that the amount of coins produced in the years shortly following was so small that mint sets weren't officially issued in 1967 and 1968. (The fact that the RAM had to recall all of the round 50¢ pieces issued in 1966 probably had something to do with it!)

These coins were hoarded by a discerning collector way back when the coins were first issued, and so are all in UNC condition. They are as good as you'd see them in a mint set from this period, the copper coins are standard for the period - they have tone but do retain lustre in the devices. They've been stored in a custom album from the period - we've cut out the part of the sheet that contains the coins from this year, Although it would be pretty easy for you to put them into a more presentable page.
