Australian $50 notes have been printed in polymer by the Reserve Bank since 1995. A 50 dollar note can be particularly valuable with the right serial numbers or if it is in mint condition, values can reach up to $1,250 for the rarest polymer 50 dollar bill.

Australian 50 Dollar Note Dimensions and Designs

The polymer 50 dollar note features Aboriginal writer and inventor David Unaipon on the front, and Australia's first female parliamentarian, Edith Cowan on the back. This note measures 152.50mm * 65mm in size, and has a wide range of innovative security devices within the designs.

Now that the 1st Generation note series is complete and Australia's NGB notes are in circulation, it is possible for collectors to build a complete set of the first series of Australian polymer 50 dollar notes. There are 18 different notes in the first NNS series of Australian $50 notes, one for each year between 1995 and 2016. Several different varieties of the NGB 50 dollar note have also been released since 2016.
