An incredibly exclusive release - just 2,000 in this packaging.
The RAM struck something of a mother lode when they released their first Australian Artist $25 gold proof coin back in 2007 - it sold out pretty much immediately, and subsequent releases in 2008 and 2009 went the same way.
The 2007 ”Kangaroo at Sunset” coin was intended to represent the pinnacle of coin design in Australia, and features a simple, yet striking, design of a lone kangaroo crossing the red soil plains against a setting sun.
This series was so popular internationally, it was struck in silver also. This particular version was struck by the Royal Australian Mint in 2009 for inclusion in the international coin program "The Fabulous 12 & 15 Silver Crown Collection."
It was nominated for the Peoples Choice Coin of the Year by Krause "the worlds leading numismatic publisher".
The coin shows the F12 privy mark on the reverse, and remains in a specially-prepared coloured presentation case.
The coin, case, outer shipper, and certificate are all included and remain in excellent condition.
