Some Collectors aren't happy with first strike coins

Just in case you missed it, US collectors have been paying big premiums for what are described as "first strike" coins - those first off the mint presses. While I just can't see any excitement in owning one of the first of 10 million 1oz Uncirculated gold coins, if that's what someone else is into, good luck to them!

It seems though that there is some divergence of opinion on just what the term "first strike" actually means - some collectors feel they have been deceived into paying a premium for items that don't have substantive value, and are actually taking legal action as a result! Get this - more than US$10 million in damages could be at stake!
