In a time when many people are amassing quantities of gold and silver bullion and coins more than ever before, news of an interesting book has come to light which poses the question - how much gold and silver is enough?
The book recounts the story of a gent in the US that chose to store the majority of his liquid wealth in bullion gold and silver coins, and gee didn't he attack that goal with some determination! Although he ended up with a few tonnes of precious metal (Literally!), his family felt that they paid a heavy price for his determination.
I'm not sure how many readers of this blog will have amassed that much metal, but there has to be a cautionary tale in there somewhere for us all. Great title by the way - it really captures the uncertainty that can arise as to whether the pursuit of precious metals as a hedge is a wise one or not.
