Each note in this set of four features the signatures of Coombs and Wilson - they represent the very first paper decimal notes issued in Australia in 1966.
Dr Herbert Cole (Nugget) Coombs was Governor of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia between January 1st 1949 and January 13th 1960 and was then the inaugural Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia from the date of its establishment on January 14th 1960 until July 22nd 1968.
Sir Roland Wilson was Secretary to the Treasury from April 1st 1951 until October 27th 1966.
Paper decimal notes with this signature combination were released between February 14th 1966 and late October 1966.
These particular notes remain in decent condition - they have intact corners and edges, are evenly folded and problem-free.
This is an affordable set of notes that will cost a fraction of the price of a set in lightly-circulated condition and can be handled safely without fear of damaging them.
Special Note:
The notes you see in the photographs show the exact set that you will receive - each notes has the grade we've listed above.
