This is a lustrous and well-centred example of a hugely popular decimal error coin.
The coin has stacks of lustre right across both sides, there is just a hint of friction on the Queen's jaw line and across the base of her shoulder.
Prices for one dollar mules seem to be in a broad range - grade is definitely a big factor when determining value, however so is eye appeal.
While equivalent graded coins may have sold for less than our asking figure, we've priced this coin based on the eye appeal that it has, just as much as the grade that PCGS has designated it. The other AU 58 mules that we've seen lately haven't had anywhere near the eye appeal that this coin has.
