When it comes to a banknote album however, interleave refers to a backing sheet that sits behind a clear banknote page, one that has a range of information about each note printed on it.

The interleaves in this album have been designed by the man that is regarded as Australia's pre-eminent expert on Mick Vort-Ronald.

Basically, they include reams of information on Australia's paper decimal banknotes - probably more technical information than you'd find in some books on the subject. The written information on each note covers the following points:

  • Reference numbers (each major reference is included),

  • Signature combinations,

  • Dates on issue (exact release and withdrawal dates),

  • Numbers printed,

  • Any and all distinguishing characteristics,

  • Information on and background to the designs used.

The team at Sterling & Currency is a family affair – small but growing.  Andrew Crellin is the main dealer in the business, click here to read this credentials and how he started with the Perth Mint; spent a decade in Sydney working with two leading dealers and relocated back to Perth in 2006.
 
Jo is our budding Numismatist, Chief Event officer, Photographer and Packing Extraordinaire.  Natalie is our media creator and photographer.  Nicole manages the accounts and is part of the Packing Team.  A myriad of important duties are carried out by the team that include photography, website updates, office admin, and chocolate eating.
