This is an honest example of one of the rarest Australian notes issued in the past 80 years.
The star replacement notes from the King George VI series are some of the rarest and most keenly sought of all of Australia's pre-decimal banknotes. The Armitage McFarlane ten shilling star note could be regarded as the rarest Australian banknote issued in the past 80 years.
This particular note has a fair degree of folding throughout and the paper remains firm.
The intaglio colours are bright and original, the edges are intact and the body is devoid of any pinholes, tears or other issues.
It clearly remained in circulation for some time, yet remains an honest and relatively affordable example of the rarest Australian banknote issued in the last 80 years.
